Producer Neftali Santiago (Former Drummer Of Mandrill) was a sample pioneer in 1980.
All animal sounds were placed with a Melotron (first sampler with analogue tapeloops).
The single was only available as promo and got a lot of attention in Holland, for example as Radio tune from legendary radioprogram Soul Show with Ferry Maat.
The promotional copies are selling for as much as $85 a copy because of dj’s collecting.
Nowaday there’s still a demand for the record.
