LUIS EDUARDO AUTE - ALMA Y FUGA - CD

In this first release we have brought together the two albums that Luis Eduardo Aute recorded for Movieplay between 1980 and 1982. They were titled “Alma” and “Fuga” and they are the starting point of a style that he had not managed to show in his previous works for RCA. They have the seal of the immortal and timeless Aute. Proof of this are these four songs that remained in his concert repertoire until the last day: “No te desnudes todavía”, “Pasaba por aquí”, “Mira que eres canalla” and “Siento que te estoy perdido”. The most commercial Aute despite his prestige as a singer-songwriter. The singer himself made fun of this sad concept of the one he sang his own songs about in the verses of his “Autotango del cantango”: “Qué me dices, cantautor de las narices, qué me cantas con tu voz de funeral”. With songs like those on this album he shows his great sense of humor and a rogue cynicism without losing his poetic and musical talent. We will soon release the missing album from his Movieplay period: the concert “Entre amigos” that he did with Serrat, Pablo Milanés, Teddy Bautista and Silvio Rodríguez. It is an early work by Aute, already with his inseparable Luis Mendo and Bernardo Fúster, in which he shows us what his career and his work will be like in the following years: essential.
